Who we serve

At The Third Wave Center, we welcome both neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals with a wide range of needs, goals, and lived experiences.

Our mindfulness-based ABA therapy and behavioral skills coaching are designed to support anyone looking to cultivate greater psychological flexibility and mindful living as well as learn social and adaptive real-world skills for greater autonomy and self-efficacy.

We serve anyone ages 12 and up along with families and groups who are seeking a compassionate, present-focused approach to behavioral growth and well-being.

We will be accepting most private insurances and Medicaid soon.  Until then, we are private pay, but will work with you on a sliding scale based on what you can afford with the level of services that are right for you.

Who We Are & What We Do

At the Third Wave Center, we provide a holistic and mindfulness-based approach to ABA therapy, tailored for neurodivergent individuals ages 12 & up. We focus on the integration of four core service areas:
 

  • Mindfulness-based ABA Therapy (1:1 and Groups): 

We integrate the principles of mindfulness-based ABA into everything we do, creating a holistic approach that has consistently led to improved outcomes and lasting changes, even for individuals with more complex support needs.  Learning new adaptive behaviors requires an emotional regulation system that allows for the best chance to learn new skills.  
 

  • Family Wellness & Therapeutic Supports:

We know that supporting an individual means supporting the whole family. Our family-focused services offer guidance, resources, and therapeutic support to help families cultivate a mindful, resilient environment for the individual and themselves.
 

  • ​Mindfulness-based Behavior Skills Coaching:  

This is a science-based, structured approach to personal development.  We use well established techniques from behavioral science to help you build adaptive life skills tailored for your unique needs and goals. Alongside the personalized skills, we focus on building psychological flexibility, resilience and emotional regulation to ensure you achieve lasting, meaningful outcomes. 
 

  • Integrated Mindfulness and Resilience Skills Groups:

These groups are designed to be inclusive of individuals across a wide range of cognitive and developmental needs offering a holistic blend of mindfulness, emotional resilience, and psychological flexibility. These groups serve anyone looking to enhance self-awareness, foster compassion, and develop adaptive coping strategies. Through a blend of practical techniques and compassionate support, participants build lasting resilience and well-being.

Sessions are tailored according to individual differences and needs . They are also grounded in evidence-based and process-based behavioral science with a blend of therapeutic models.

?How is the Third Wave Center different than most existing therapeutic models
We are an affordable monthly membership holistic therapeutic wellness center grounded in evidenced-based modern psychological practices combined with Zen Buddhist philosophy.  Think of us like a gym for your mind!  We are an all day, every day Center.  That means - come at any time, if not just to hang out!  We focus on therapy that meets the individual where they are at  along with cultivating general skills of compassion for self and others, mindfulness, ethical mliving, and community responsibility.  We intend for holism in the truest sense of the ter


?How do makeups work for groups
Members may make up a missed session within the same week (space permitting), or later when that module repeats. Because modules are sequential, members attend the same group

each week for continuity
 

?Do unused sessions roll over
To support progress and skill acquisition, sessions do not roll over. Consistency is part of the therapeutic process
 
?Do you take insurance
We are a private pay membership for now; however, we are working on being accepted for Medicaid and private health insurance soon

 

?Can I pause my membership

We understand that things come up and memberships may have to be paused for qualifying circumstances (such as medical or family leave). We ask that you provide us written notice for this and we'll hold your spot

9:30am - 10:30am - Individual session #1
